Homemade Nads Recipe
Juice of 1/2 a lemon.
1 cup sugar.
1/4 cup honey.
Put in microwave and cook stirring occaionally until it has boiled. It takes along time to cool. Using small knife with no blade like a cheese spreader... apply where needed. put on a strip of cotton like an old shirt or old sheet. Rub the strip in the direction of hair growth then pull skin taut and yank it in the opposite direction of hair growth. Remember to dust area with cornstarch first...
Mix the ingredients, and microwave it for 2 min., stir, and microwaved it for about 20-30 sec. more. Let it cool till it is warm and you can spread a THIN strip onto your skin. Make sure your skin is clean, so the oils in your skin and hair don't keep the sugar from sticking. You can use a popsicle stick, or a tongue depressor to spread it on.
Spread a thin strip of the mixture onto my leg, covered it with a strip of cotton fabric. I rubbed the strip three times in the direction of the growth, then (very important) pulled the skin taut, took a deep breath, and pulled against the direction of hair growth. BTW, whether you pull the skin taut from the top or bottom of the strip doesn't seem to matter, just the tautness of the skin. It really doesn't hurt that much, and you do get used to it. It is a skill, and it does take practice, but it gets much easier the more you do it.
Occasionally reheat the mixture for about 23sec. in the microwave.
Firming Face Mask
Whisk together 1 tablespoon honey, 1 egg white, 1 teaspoon glycerin (available at drug and beauty stores) and enough flour to form a paste (approximately 1/4 cup). Smooth over face and throat. Leave on 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
Here are suggestions on hair rinses for Blondes
Marigold gives golden highlights to light hair and brings out red and gold highlights in light brown and red hair. Saffron, tumeric, calendula, mullein, privet and yellow broom in addition to any yellow blossomed herb or flower also add color and highlights for blondes.
Rinse hair with a solution of 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to one gallon of water after shampooing.
To bring out highlights and lighten blonde hair, steep 1/2 cup of camomile tea in one quart of boiling water. Strain and cool slightly. Shampoo hair until oil free, then rinse with the tea infusion.
These rinses work over a period of time to subtlety color and add highlights to the hair. First wash and rinse hair, then pour any of these rinses over the hair 15 times catching the excess in a bowl or the bathroom basin as it runs off the hair, then pouring it over the hair again.
Homemade peel-off mask
1 tablespoon of unflavored gelatin
1 1/2 tablespoons of cold milk
1 egg white
Directions:
Step 1: In a small pan mix the unflavored gelatin and the cold milk. Stir until melted over a very low flame. Once melted, remove from heat and let the gelatin mixture cool slightly. Then add one egg white. Mix until smooth, and when cool enough to touch, apply evenly over face. Do not apply on, or directly under, your eyes or on your upper lip. Apply quickly before mixture hardens in pan.
Step 2: Apply enough to cover your skin but not too thickly. Lie on the couch and let it dry completely -- about 30 minutes. Once dry, lift up a corner under your chin and peel off lightly in an upward motion. This will really tingle. Rinse face with lukewarm water .
