QUESTION:
I can't seem to get my swollen eyes to go down, they are always so

I was just in the ophthalmologist office for this same problem. I
was told by the doctor that the tissues get clogged in the back of
the eye socket causing swelling; the tear ducts are also clogged. I
was told to use a hot compress twice daily and put tear eye drops
in 3 times a day. These eye drops can be purchased over the counter.
Make sure it says for dry eyes, there are several different
manufacturers. Hope this helps you, as it did me. Good Luck, I know
how you feel.

This is for Donna, the lady with the swollen eyes AND for anyone
who suffers from those terrible under-eye, black circles (don't we
ALL?!) I have this wonderful stuff from the health food store
called: Arnica Gel (It also comes in cream form and you can also
get pellets to take internally, for injuries). Works wonders on
bruises of ANY sort...have had them start "yellowing" overnight!
But if you apply it before you go to bed and then wash it off the
next morning...VOILA! No circles or only the faintest traces of
them!!! This is a great product to keep in the medicine cabinet as
well and to give to friends for theirs!!!

In response to Donna's question about her swollen eyes...
SEE A DOCTOR SOON! Donna may be retaining fluid, have an allergy or
have an infection of some sort. If it is none of those things
perhaps if she slept with the head of her bed elevated a bit it
would help. First I would suggest she see a doctor though.
Good luck, Donna!

To the woman with the swelling problem: Have you tried Ponds
"cucumber" eye pads??? These are cool & refreshing, place on the
eyelids & have a little rest. My best friend has skin reactions to
everything, and she can use these with no prob.
Hope it helps!

I'm responding to Donna about her swollen eyes. Cucumber slices
work! A good night's sleep is crucial......also I have a gel from
St. Ives (bought at Walmart) that helps too. It's Cucumber and
Elastin Facial Stress Gel, or something like that. Also, Donna, you
might try switching makeup brands, even trying new facial cleanser.
Hope you get lots of ideas to help you!!

For Donna with the swollen lids...use hemorrhoid cream - it takes
down the swelling - something like Preparation H. Put this on when
you go to bed as it is a little greasy. It works great for bags
under the eyes too!
Good luck!
